Young at Heart

Some of the cats at the Cat's Meow are senior kitties. They are here through no fault of their own - perhaps their owner passed away or sometimes they are found as stray kitties and we really don't know their story.

Seniors are often overlooked in favor of kittens or younger cats, but they have so much to offer.

Our senior kitties have excellent manners. Their rambunctious kitten years are behind them. They're not interested in climbing your curtains or your legs. They'd rather curl up with you while you read or watch tv.

With a senior cat, what you see is what you get. Their personality is well developed so you know what you're getting in terms of size, physical appearance, health and temperament.

All of our seniors are thoroughly checked by our veterinarian. In addition to the care we offer every cat, senior kitties receive full blood panel workups and any dental or other medical care they may need prior to adoption.

The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 17 years and cats who are well cared for may  live to 20 years, so rest assured that you and your senior kitty have many years of love ahead of you.

If you value wisdom before youth, please consider adopting one of our senior kitties. We offer a 50% discount to anyone who opens their heart and their home to one of our lovely senior kitties.
