Ginger

Senior Cat

Ginger is a sweet and gentle 13-year-old orange-and-white tabby with a calm and quiet nature. She enjoys peaceful surroundings, familiar routines, and the quiet comfort of being near her people. Ginger can be a little reserved at first with new faces, but she settles in best in a calm environment with kind, patient companions.

One sure way to win Ginger over is with a brush—she absolutely loves being brushed, and it’s truly the key to her heart. Brushing time helps her relax and builds trust, and once she’s comfortable, she leans into those gentle moments and shows just how content she can be.

Ginger must be adopted with her brother Fred, who has been her lifelong companion. The two came to The Cat’s Meow after their beloved owner passed away and take great comfort in one another. They have always been indoor-only cats and are accustomed to a quiet, loving home.

Ginger and Fred lived with a dog earlier in life and may do well again with an older, calm, cat-friendly dog. Ginger would thrive in a peaceful home with patient adopters who appreciate a gentle soul—and don’t mind making brushing part of the daily routine.

If you’re looking for a bonded senior pair to share quiet moments, cozy days, and lots of brushing time, Ginger and Fred may be the perfect match. 💕

Adoption Fee $60

Senior cats are 8 years and older. The adoption fee includes the spay or neuter surgery (which is already done), microchip, testing for feline leukemia and FIV, distemper vaccination, deworming and flea treatment. In addition, all of our senior kitties receive a thorough veterinary exam with comprehensive bloodwork, urinalysis (to check their kidney health) and dental care if needed.
