What is the adoption fee?
The adoption fee is $95. All cats and kittens are spayed or neutered and tested for feline leukemia and FIV prior to adoption. The adoption fee also includes: distemper vaccination, deworming, flea medication and a free checkup at a local vet.
What is the adoption process?
Adopting a cat from the Cat's Meow is a simple process. We will meet with you at the adoption center to complete some simple paperwork and in most cases you're able to take your new kitty home the same day.
What if I get home with my new cat and I feel it's not a good match?
The Cat's Meow guarantees all of our adoptions. If it's not working out for any reason you may bring the cat back to us at any time.
Where is the adoption center located?
We are located at 803 4th Street in downtown Anacortes (at the corner of 4th Street and R Avenue). We are open from 10am to 4pm every Saturday and by appointment on other days.
What if I can't make it to the adoption center on a Saturday?
We are happy to meet with you at another time. Just give us a call and we can arrange a time.
Should I get a cat or a kitten?
Yes, kittens are adorable. They're also a lot of work. When adopting an adult cat you have the advantage of knowing what the cat's personality is.
Where do your cats and kittens come from?
Most of the cats and kittens admitted to the Cat's Meow were strays. We give admission priority to homeless cats that do not have anyone caring for them.
