The Cat's Meow was founded in February 2004 with the intention of becoming a full-service shelter for homeless cats on Fidalgo and Guemes Islands. For two years, we operated as a non-sheltering, volunteer rescue network.
In December 2005, Dakota Creek Industries generously donated the use of a building in downtown Anacortes and our cat adoption center was born!
